Before contacting a poster

Read the whole listing, not only the price.

A complete rental page can answer many of the first questions you might otherwise need to ask.

Confirm the rental typeEntire place, private room, or shared room can change what the advertisement actually offers.
Check availability and lease termsReview the available-from date, furnishing, lease length, and included utilities.
Review pets and parkingPet rules and parking may be listed in Property details or Utilities.
Compare available unitsMulti-unit properties may show different rents, bedrooms, and bathrooms for each unit.
For landlords and property owners

Create a useful listing and keep renter inquiries together.

Landlord accounts unlock posting and management tools. The clearer your listing is, the easier it is for renters to decide whether the property fits them.

Landlord walkthrough

From an empty form to an active rental.

Use the posting form as a renter would use the finished page: give people the information they need to make a sensible decision.

Role
STEP 01

Choose “I’m listing a rental”

Select the landlord or property-owner orientation during registration, onboarding, or from My Account. Renter accounts cannot post until the orientation is changed.

Post
STEP 02

Open Post a Rental Listing

Choose Post from the navigation. ZoopRent will show your available listing credits when your account has a defined limit.

Basics
STEP 03

Write a clear title and description

Use a specific title and describe the property honestly. Include the layout, neighbourhood context, notable features, and anything a renter should understand before contacting you.

Location
STEP 04

Complete the location carefully

Enter the country, province or state, city, and postal or ZIP code, then confirm the map location. Accurate location information helps the rental appear in area and map searches.

Property
STEP 05

Add the rental details

  • Monthly rent and currency
  • Apartment, house, condo, room, or studio
  • Entire place, private room, or shared room
  • Available date, bedrooms, bathrooms, and square footage
Terms
STEP 06

Explain what is included

Choose the furnishing level, included utilities, pet rules, lease length, and parking or internet when applicable. Leaving these unclear creates avoidable messages later.

Units
STEP 07

Add separate units when needed

For a building or property with multiple available units, enable multi-unit rentals and add a unit label, monthly rent, beds, and baths for each one.

Media
STEP 08

Upload clear photos and optional videos

Add useful, well-lit images in a sensible order. The number of image slots and whether videos are available depend on your current account plan.

Submit
STEP 09

Submit and check the finished page

Choose Submit rental. Depending on site moderation, the listing may publish immediately or show as awaiting administrator approval. Review it once live.

Manage
STEP 10

Use My Listings and Inbox

Edit details when something changes, renew eligible listings before or after expiry, delete rentals that are no longer available, and answer renter questions through Inbox.

A stronger rental advertisement

Complete fields help the right renters find you.

ZoopRent’s filters and map depend on structured information. A beautiful description helps, but the individual fields are what make a listing searchable.

Use an accurate monthly rentMulti-unit listings can show a rent range when different units have different prices.
Choose the correct property typeThis helps the rental appear when renters filter by apartment, house, condo, room, or studio.
Keep availability currentEdit or remove a listing promptly when the property is no longer available.
Lead with your strongest photoThe first clear image often determines whether a renter opens the full listing.
Post a Rental Listing Add complete information so renters can find and understand it.

Rental orientation

Choose how this account is mainly using ZoopRent.

I’m renting / tenantSearch rentals, save favourites, create alerts, and message posters.
I’m listing a rentalPost rentals, manage listings, add photos, and answer renter messages.
Switch roles when life changes

One account can move between renter and landlord tools.

Open My Account and find Rental orientation. Choose the option that fits what you are doing and save it. Switching to renter mode hides posting tools; switching to landlord mode restores Post and My Listings.

This is useful when a landlord is also searching for a new home, or when a renter later needs to advertise a property.

Rental safety

Use the tools—and your judgment.

ZoopRent provides classifieds, messaging, saving, and reporting tools. It is not a party to private rental agreements and cannot guarantee every statement made by an independent advertiser.

Keep early conversations in the ZoopRent Inbox. This preserves the rental context and gives you one place to review what was said.
Never send passwords or banking login details.Legitimate rental communication does not require access to your private accounts.
Verify the property and the person offering it.View the rental carefully, confirm important details, and understand the agreement before exchanging money.
Be cautious with pressure and unusual payment requests.Urgency, refusal to show the property, or requests for hard-to-recover payments deserve extra scrutiny.
Use “Report this ad” when something needs review.Explain the concern clearly so the site administrator can investigate the correct listing.
Common questions

Quick answers when something doesn’t look right.

Why can’t I see the Post or My Listings buttons?
Your account is probably in renter mode. Open My Account, find Rental orientation, choose “I’m listing a rental,” and save the change.
Do I need an account to browse rentals?
You can browse public rental listings without an account. Logging in is required for personal tools such as saving rentals, creating alerts, and contacting most posters.
What is the difference between List, Split, and Map?
List emphasizes fast comparison. Split places rental cards beside the map. Map focuses on geographic discovery and rental pins.
Why can’t I upload a video?
Video uploads are plan-based. Your current plan may not include videos, or it may limit how many can be added. The posting form displays the allowance available to your account.
Why does my listing say it is awaiting approval?
The site may require administrator moderation before a new or edited rental becomes publicly available. The owner sees a pending notice while it is being reviewed.
What happens when a listing expires?
Open My Listings to review the rental. Eligible listings can be renewed according to the account plan and the renewal limits configured for ZoopRent.
How do I stop a rental alert?
Open My Alerts. Pause keeps the alert for later, Resume turns it back on, and Delete removes it permanently.
How do I remove a rental that is no longer available?
Landlords can open My Listings and delete the advertisement. Use Edit instead when the rental remains available but details have changed.
